Regardless, I gathered from the title this thread was about what pissed posters off on a given day, not how (if at all) others felt about things that brought on those feelings.

Nah. These are the sorts of verbal and visual cues that are similar to nodding one's head or voicing sympathetic words as a friend relates a story. They are gestures humans make to show support, build bonds and affirm community. That is true here (thank God) as well as anywhere else people interact.

Or maybe just a bad day. Or maybe a different idea about how boards should work. I dunno. I think many, if not most, people need or like validation or solidarity when they are undergoing tough things.

Well, it doesn't specifically have any effect on me, but I recently finished watching latest "Real World" episode...

Some of each group are discussing exes they had problems with, or people they hooked friends up with that caused them to stop getting along with those friends, & one female said she wanted to beat the guy.

Does that bother me? No. What PMOT (& lots of times over decades) if it had been a guy saying that, he would either be facing charges in every state after it aired, or it wouldn't have aired... But b/c this was a female talking against the guy, she'll probably get a million backers across social media, etc.

There is no argument or imagination as to why people respond to one poster in the place for everyone to post the same thing & not responses... As there is no reason why outside of mistakes or stupidity.
