I sent mine an email saying "I too prefer joy and fun and adventure, and just like you I hate drama and doom. Unfortunately, life is handing me so much drama and doom-- not of my choosing-- that I am overwhelmed. I miss your companionship, and when I get past this I look forward to more fun and adventure with you."

Now, I know, because my sister told me, that any NT person would read this as a guilt-tripping passive aggressive attack. This friend of mine however, read it exactly as written, and sent back: "I'll miss you too *hugs*"

So I don't have to worry about her for a while. It's okay.
