What pissed you off today? Mark II

Not enough pay to care about your problems. That and companies are purposely pushing out experienced workers who have been there long enough to make more than minimum wage. This creates workers that are not loyal and don't give a shit about finding an item for you.

If I can just pitch in from the opposite side :)......

All my staff have been with me for many years, the 'new boy' now having notched up 14 years.....but it seems these days that no-one rings up to ask a polite question any more? It's all aggressive and confrontational from the start, as if the customer feels that is what must be necessary for them to get an answer. It isn't, and quite often these days, I find that I take over calls where the customer is nasty because I don't feel it's fair that my staff should have to deal with that during their working day.

Simple example from the last week - I took over a call from a woman who was swearing at one of my staff because she'd received a book in a different format from a previous edition. I had to point out that we had included a letter and explanatory leaflet with her order form which detailed the reasons for the change....at which point the anger changed to embarrassed huffiness  And I'm afraid we had a bit of a laugh at her expense once the call was ended...

My year of medical assistance is up, and I do not qualify for Obama care-- I don't make enough money to deserve free health care.

I have been on this side. All of my jobs have been customer service based. There were customers that no matter how much I smiled or tried to help them they just kept being angry at me. Once, while I was helping a guy (I was a bank teller) I simply asked that he write his full name on the check, he cursed at me and grabbed the check like I was hassling him. A regular was at the next window with another teller, he leaned over to the guy and said, "who pissed in your Cheerios?" The guy at my window shut his mouth. I couldn't help but smile and give the regular a grateful look.

That job drove me to heavy drinking. Actually, everyone at that branch (most of us worked 6 days a week) would get off Saturday afternoon and go straight to a bar. The demand for us to be robots was killing us.

Is it just me, or are there more stupid people coming out of the woodworks on the board lately?

Nyuk, nyuk, nyuk....

Feel better, Meeks!
*hands you my best virtual chicken soup, very fuzzy slippers, and a big box of ultra-soft Kleenex*
:rose:

Lol, thank you (⌒-⌒; ) but I think CNC needs these. :)

Yes please!
Preferably alphabet chicken soup, and a dictionary

PS - it's not you, Meeks, you're not stupid at all :D

Reminds me of a line I saw elsewhere that used to be in my sig: "I can eat bowl of alphabet soup and shit out a better argument than that." ;)

Gah! The lack of 'standards and breeding' in some people just astonishes me. When you're nowhere near the moral/ethical high ground in a situation, have the good grace to look about, realize how absurd you look, and just effing slink away.

Stupid customers are stupid. Read the description, that's why it's there!

We're doing a mortgage re-fi, and our credit union works it mostly through the miracle of online documents with a few to be printed and returned. Except actually logging in and establishing your account is screwy. Nowhere did anything say we had to use MS Internet Explorer as the one-and-only browser. Ick! I could barely even remember how it worked.

We have a system where our house voicemail messages are ONLY available from an online portal. From trial and error we discovered that IE was the only browser that worked with the message portal. Except for that use, I doubt if I've opened up IE in the last three years or more.

Not pissed off, exactly, but frustrated. Master's eye doc appointment took 2.5 HOURS, mostly just wait time. I'd hoped to spend a little more time with my babygirl before I have to put her on a plane back to Chicago shortly. Huh, she's still packing and we need to leave in 10 minutes. Typical! LOL I'm gonna miss her but it will be a bit calmer around here.

I've been having really weird/bad dreams lately. Yesterday's was... I don't even want to talk about what was in it. Today's was about my husband giving me away to somebody. The whole dream he was like "It's completely ok, give him a chance. He deserves a person like you around." And I just kept staring at my husband from afar thinking he's the only one and I just can't go along with this. :( It was very upsetting.

*sighs* I hate that dreams like this can get me down. I wonder what the twisted message is that my brain is totally fucking up.

:rose: Dreams can be really disturbing. I hope it fades quickly.
