I looked for an anime avatar because 75% of the things I enjoy in life have some connection with animation. And when I found my little silver haired ( ok, light purple if you want honesty..... it looks silver to me though ) girl, I fell in love instantly with her.

I have not been here long enough to apply the rest of my ?'s to myself. They are more for the Board Elders.

Av's are a personal thing to me.

I like to change with my mood. It doesnt have to sexual,but usually they are. Many of mine have no face. I prefer those.

The one that I use now was found for me by LRC,and she will always have my gratitude.

All the avs I've had are either an aspect of my personality, or reflect my fantasies. Some are who I wish I could be. The one I have now is my favorite, but there a couple of others that are very close behind it.

I'm thinking about making a new av that is actually me, but I need the pic first. Unfortunately, I've deleted it. I hope that a certain someone out there saved it to their computer. LOL

I have changed my avs several times, lately using parts of the real me without giving too much away at one glance (there is one special person who has the complete picture of me!). I feel I'm becoming more "open" as my time here continues.

I also have some saved that are pictures of things I can personally relate to, and these will likely show up in the future. I enjoy changes and use my avs to express the way I feel day by day, and week by week.

I change my av about every 50 posts...just for variety (I'm coming up for a new one soon ). The one I have right now (the mermaid) is one of my favorites. I think it's cute, funny and sexy, all at once. Right now, I'm cycling through all the works I have of my favorite erotic artist. I also have a couple regular photos that I'll eventually use...but currently I'm happy using the art.

I never had an AV until September 11th. I changed it briefly for the holiday season to Father Christmas. Now I'm back to Lady Liberty, and will probably keep her or a version of her for a very long time.

I enjoy seeing the variety of AVs that people come up with for the board, and the thought that they put into some of them. I don't change mine with my mood, maybe because no matter what my mood is, I'm the same person inside. My AV stays consistent, like the rest of me.

I have only had a couple av's so far, but have several "future" ones saved on my computer. They are all either an aspect of me or affected me in one way or another.

I have tons saved on my computer that are very sexy, but many I will probably never use. 99% of them are pictures of bodies with no face, as I like these the best. A few I will use, I am sure, but I am keeping them all, just in case. I also have tons of storm pictures saved. These also exhibit a part of me.

So far the one I am using now is my favorite. It represents a fantasy of mine and I think it has an underlying sexiness to it.

I try to keep my AV's along a certain theme (except, of course, when lapse of judgement skills makes me do otherwise). I think the consistency helps to keep me a bit easier to recognize.

Why the reptilia? Because I like them. I have a lizard collection of various items. If you ever go to see your doctor and, while there, you walk into the blondgirl's office and see a collection of lizards on her shelf above her desk, you will know it is me.

After a considerable debate regarding on line and off line personalities, I decided to merge mine and be as much alike as I can on line as off. For that reason I chose to use a photo. The choice was limited by what I had available.

I like AV's that I can identify with individuals, ones that have been kept a long time and they then become, in my mind, part of the personality of the person.

My current av was selected because it had a profound affect on me when I first saw it.

Others were selected because they represented some facet of my psyche.

As for my favorite, I still have it, but felt that it had been up so long as to become boring. In fact, I may change into it right now, just for kicks.

It took me a while past my 100th post to decide to have an AV.

When I did I went and looked for artwork by Paul Kidby. Because he has produced good images of some of my favourite fictional characters.

I do come to think of people in terms of their AVs. You're probably the same there.

A lot of people have changed their AVs recently. I like Lil'Minxe's, Daughter's and Ayaka's present AVs. Striking women featured in all three.

I have liked past AVs by Rubyfruit (Sorry Ruby, but disembodied body parts aren't my thing), PC, Dillenger, Mistress, Lavender (remember the cartoon one that looked like Elizabeth Taylor? That one) and Starfish.

And, it's not an AV but I like that penguin in STG's signiture line.

Good AVs are eyecatching and communicate something about the personality of their owner. Each and every person should have AVs because they like them, but of course it's nice to have them commented upon.

I like cats, anything to do with cats, so my Av will always be a feline of some sort, which also reflects my personality somewhat.
I had this one ever since I signed up, just waiting, I liked the subtle tone behind the kitty licking the icecream cone, not brave enough to post the real pussy, so to speak

The kitty-cone is my fave, I've changed it a couple of times, depending on my mood.

My criteria are: something unique that others don't have or have used, something that I feel describes some aspect of my personality or mood, something with a little humor or cuteness.

What made you decide on the one you have now ?

Rather than meeting my criteria of describing some aspect of my personality, I thought Sam the Eagle from the Muppets show is symbolic of how I suspect some people see me here; a stuffy arrogant asshole who doesn't know shit.

I've always had this av or a holiday version of it. It fits me, I'm a calm, relaxed person that prefers to be in the state my av is in: naked and sleeping.

My favorite Av .. hmm, I have a fondness for Polywog's av - the demonic sperm .. funny as hell.

And .. I've never used myself as my Av.
