What makes this BB "icky" to you?

I couldn't help asking the question after reading one of DCL's recent replies. Seems that posts which ask the questions "If you were a flower, what would you smell like?"' or "What color would you be ?", seem to get a lot of play on the BB. Does it really matter as long as you're entertained?

The other day I read a discussion on the BB about the atom bomb and was amazed by the depth of feeling and understanding shown by the contributors. That same day I read others that were almost trivial in nature. Interestingly, they all fit because the BB offers something for everyone, at anytime. Such diversity. Amazing, isn't it?!

It is amazing.

As for the ickiness, I would have to say it is being reminded of Titus Andronicus before I've had my tea. Too sick-making.

I love this board. But the only thing that actually made me sick to my stomache was the thread entitled "Is this sick?" That was just too much for me.

Sorry about that it was just a very (in my opinion) terrible film and I figured the people here might have some insight on it. Once more, my apologizes.

You don't need to apologize, Ian. I had a choice not to read it; I read it, and then my mind shot to the play itself. It has never been a favorite; not the least because of the sendup it got in "Theater of Blood."

Anyway, you didn't do anything wrong. :)

Reading these posts is like sitting quietly in a restaurant listening to the conversations going on around you. The really wonderful thing is that here you do have the opportunity to respond in any way you like, all from the anonymity of your home. Wouldn't Sarte just have a field day with the Net?
Thanks Laurel!

Aaarrrghghgh fine, I get the point, no more Batman story. I can take a hint. :p

Icky??? What grade is this???

Icky is Wizards pool.

Icky is being sold for a box of doghnuts in an auction...

Icky is the travesty foisted on Flagg by Deborah...(funny though!)

Yes this board does have something for everyone....Now where's mine Damnit?

right here Thumpie boy........

:p

LOL.....Thumper...I heard that..........lol...... ...(true)

Siren on another thread, and even Siren didn't say stop, she said make them their own thread.

KM, the batman threads are one the only truly original funny things on this BB. Don't you dare stop or ... SCHMACKIES I say!

Mo Bettah BatBird, please!

Amazing? No, not really. Predictable. The same hand that writes poetry, paints masterpieces and builds high-rises also masturbates and flips people off- yet rarely will I call a hand 'amazing.'
Icky? Lobster and Mud Shrimp. My womb still has sympathy pains whenever I think about that. Though perhaps I should view it as a Saint Augustine metaphor for life. What did he say? 'We are born between piss and shit.'

Oddly enough, what Deb did to Flagg turned me on, the Batman story just made me laugh, I've never seen Titus, I haven't read the 'Dirty Old Men' thread, and the 'Is this sick?' thread had me shrugging my shoulders; I still doubt that a twenty-four year old mother posted that.

Tin soldiers and Nixon's coming.

You know what is REALLY Icky?

That is to be thrown into Wizzies pool and get killed by a giant spacehamster named Boo, at a perfectly healthy and good party.

Now THAT'S icky.

LOL @ Xander. I agree with you Blue, it's great..... and Cheri, I love that an analogy. It is exactly like lots of conversations going on about you in a resturant.
