Doing deadlifts for the first time in a coupla months, and thinking I'm going to suck.
Pulled 435 motherfucking pounds.
This may be meaningless to anyone else, but 435# was my old full-on max after a peaking cycle with a load of training and accessory work. I pulled 435# tonight with a normal warm-up after not serious touching deads in months. In fact, the last time I really hit deads with any relevance was a year ago. Since then I've pulled maybe once every other month.
I'm feeling my Beast tonight. Hell, yeah.

Ok, so I was sitting at a table with my principal, asst prin, librarian and spouse and another teacher. Prin is talking about riding an elephant to work to save on gas money and wondering how long it would take to get there. Next thing I know we are talking about horses and how she went and saw the famous clydsdale horses. While the guy is talking about the horses history all she can notice is the horses (her words) "you know" and how until she say that she did not know what they ment by hung like a horse. Then she added "It looked like he had 5 legs"
I laughed so hard my stomach hurt.
