I have talked to teachers who tried to teach in black majority public schools. They had bad things to say about their so called "students."

There's a lot of sad and pathetic unintelligence in this desperately wordy mess, but the main irony of it all is you using "allowed" to describe the social progress of people outside of straight cis White males. Irony because you using that word undercuts your own flimsy argument.

"Allowed" means someone was above and they bestowed access to those below. It's a simple, bloodless, first-grade way of explaining structure, but it doesn't tell the the whole story nor does it tell the verity of it.

Someone like you can't and won't ever understand that every civil rights gain in this country for every marginalized community throughout its history has been fought for in spite of a White-centric hegemony that sought to suppress, subdue and destroy those movements at every turn.

The apex of that hegemony is straight cis male. The system that hegemony resides and thrives in is patriarchal. Capitalism is its power source. It exists on multiple levels and layers while operating intersectionally. Contemporary conservatism deliberately keeps social progress for those outside the hegemony stagnated and politically, Republicans far more than Democrats are invested in keeping the hegemony's engine running. The reason you and yours perpetually stay apeshit over "wokeness" is because true social progress that benefits everyone possible while de-centering the hegemony threatens the system that keeps you in bubble-world comfort at the expense of everyone else different from you. There are reasons we're still fighting fights that should've been settled and cleared decades ago.

Not enough the may be being spent on the building blocks of an education in a pell-mell dash
to instruction in social life skills and the mitigation of life experiences.

There are some eye-popping numbers out there on the numbers of students who did not return to public schools after the pandemic "officially" ended. There have been attacks and FBI scrutiny on parents who dared to question public school goals and curriculum. Maybe we should spend some time having an honest conversation with those parents and simply ask them, "Why?"

There is also room to posit that there may be a cultural problem here, a liberal culture of false equivalency that dares not correct/challenge the cultural backdrop surrounding failing students and schools. It is the soft bigotry of paternalization (low expectation and teaching down to that expectation). I sometimes wonder if we should use urban renewal to break up some of these failing communities and introduce them to true diversity of thought.

BALTIMORE — The Maryland Office of the Inspector General for Education released a report that reveals that more than 12,000 failing grades in the Baltimore City Public Schools were changed to passing grades during a five-year span.
The office investigated and allege that the school district "incorrectly documented and promoted students by changing failing grades to those of passing grades" from 2016 through 2020.
