I've only read Into Thin Air and Into the Wild.

Both were exceptional so I'm trying to get my hands on everything he's written.

I have read both of those and also Under the Banner Of Heaven. If you get a chance read The Wild Truth by the sister of Chris McCandless.

I heard about that...didn't she say that their dad was a wifebeater and stuff like that? I know Krakauer had info from her but they decided not to use it in his book.

Yeah he was just an all around horrible human being and Chris’s lifestyle was mostly a rejection of his father.
