This, exactly. I get off on the idea of being taken in hand and punished, not the reality of being thrashed to a point of horrible pain. The "punishment" itself forms part of the foreplay, as I am usually spanked for being a tease or something like that (even though we both love it)

Physically, the amount of force that really does something for me ia mostly still playful but hard enough to really sting, with the occasional very hard smack. Just occasional, mind you.

And that is the essence of it, as hard as needed to set the juices off, and an occasional extra to test, and there is nothing that raises my spirit (!) as an upturned slowly reddening ass!
