What keeps you going and makes you do the things you do, day after day?

Hopes and dreams. Those are good ones.

They stay where you keep them and if you keep them safe they'll be there for you when nothing else is.

Last night I dreamt myself in several places in Europe, ending in Naples...the sun was warm on my body, the fountain water I splashed on my face cold and wet. Reality was THERE not here...it was so disappointing to wake up. But the blissful feeling it created to be there DID come back with me, and I am floating today

Kids are big drivers.

Probably the biggest though sometimes you have to be careful what direction they drive you in.

Kids are great. Surely, the innocents amongst life's messes.

My Ford Focus... very reliable, sporty and fun to drive.

I'm optimistic about life and it's outcome. I have to remember.. this too shall pass.

I remember about cycles. When you reach bottom you have to come up sooner or later.

My paycheck, unfortunately I like being comfortable in my life style!

I absolutely agree with being careful with the direction they drive you in. I, admittedly, used to be more focused on being able to provide him with tangible things, being able to give him the material things that he "thinks" he needs. While I still attempt to do that, I now struggle with making sure I strike the right balance between that and giving him the time he needs. Making sure that I am there to lend support, opinions, and direction. I'm hoping that when he's grown, he'll say "yeah my my was really there for me", instead of "yeah she bought me some kick ass Nike's". It is a difficult thang.....

for sure - life is too short , and as they say it is not a dress rehearsal - I want to be able to enjoy life while I still have my own teeth !!
