in my limited experience, it feels much the same as using a dildo. Effectively, much as you describe your own experience so far. I heard this as well, but I would have to disagree with that since when taking a dump everything is going 'out' and during sex it's 'in and out'

I can try to answer a couple of questiions/statements here:

1) I guess you can equate it to the feeling of taking a dump, but more like the full feeling when you really need to have a dump, but beyond that feeling there is also the stimulation of the prostrate which if your partner doesn't just try to ram in and out is like nothing I have never felt before. I have cum during anal sex quite often, you can just be a will partner and without any other stimulation cum like you have never cum before.
