OK, dumb question here---I've read a number or stories where the author indicates it is a BTB or RAAC story. At the risk of sounding a bit dense, what are those acronyms for? I've looked around this site and couldn't find a definition anywhere. Anyone?

I think the terms are only relevant to the Loving Wives category. BTB means "Burn the Bitch" and RAAC means "Reconciliation At All Cost."

Its the worlds fault they're pathetic, jobless, spineless and will never get laid other than something rubber or inflatable.
Some day it hopefully will be figured out this crowd is bringing this site down big time.

Usually, the LW crowd thinks of BTB as a good thing and RAAC as something to be avoided - almost opposites of each other.

Way I see it is simple, some stories needs to be BTB and others can be RAAC but they have to be in the right situations.I read story recently titled cheery tree's it was a RAAC but should have been BTB cause the type of disrespect that was protrayed in the story, now just because I say that some need to be BTB and others RAAC doesn't mean nothing I'm just aware the stories on here is fantasy and fiction, in reality if someone is cheated on by there wife a divorce should be given, with the following exceptions she was drugged or raped, if those 2 things didn't happen then file for divorce however the same is said if the husband cheats on his wife then the wife is needs to divorce him cause without those 2 exceptions cheating isn't a mistake it's a calculated choice made by someone.

I think it is a mixed bag. There are a few good BTBs. The ones where the lady goes to far and the husband evens things. Unfortunately in my opinion many BTBs go to far. At the same time there are good and bad RAACs also. I think it depends on the skill of the author to strike the right balance.

This was a greatly timed thread bump. I had been wondering what BTB was from other comments I read. That makes sense. I thought at first it had to be 'Big Titty Bitches' or something. Now it actually makes sense for the context I was seeing around it.

BTB is a specific subset of FAFO (or choices have consequences, for us older folks). It's also not just Burn the Bitch, but Burn The Bitch/Bastard. In either case, the cheating spouse is subjected to retribution for their bad behavior. It can range from a gentle singeing to a full charring, but the basic premise is that they actually suffer for their actions beyond the basic divorce. Even within the fan base of BTB, there is disagreement as to the proper amount of burn. But, no matter how well-done you like your bitch/bastard, it can be a cathartic release, especially for those divorcees who got burnt in family court despite not being the one who cheated.
RAAC, much like Loving Wives itself, is a misnomer. While it stands for Reconciliation At Any/All Costs, it's not actually a reconciliation. A true reconciliation, which is a different sector of marital drama stories, involves change by the cheater to restore the relationship, as reconciliation is an action. RAAC does not include that. Nor is it in any way romantic, despite the word vomit quoted above. It is, at it's heart, surrender. It's an inaction, as the victim simply gives up and nothing changes. The story will have phrases like, "It's cheaper to keep her," or "Being alone is bad, so I'm better off with her than without her, even if I have to wear a cock cage, eat her creampies, suck her lovers' dicks clean, and sleep naked in a dog cage."
