If certain regulations have run their course and are needless obstacles to growth or needed projects then why not revisit them and kick it down a notch. Why should it take 10 to 15 years to build a road. The problem today is we have to create sides. If you want to lessen restrictions for the common good you're against clean water or clean air which is a stupid analogy and a false equivalency. Just look at what's going on with the homeless crisis in LA or SF, OVER REGULATION! The EPA was making regulations using executive orders that should have required congressional approval and made into law by CONGRESS. EPA way to powerful, deep state government within a government, TERRORIZED every form of progress. Many projects went bankrupt waiting for EPA approval, STUPID!

I like to drink clean water and breathe clean air and the regulations necessary to ensure that I can continue to do so. Consumer protection - regulations motivate people to do what they otherwise should but fail to do because of financial motivation. I can live without consumer protection regulations.

Well this is a good rational argument here (something I find sorely lacking on this forum, sadly.)

I just get really uneasy about a total roll-back of regulations, because most of them are there for a good reason- to keep business from shamelessly polluting waterways and spewing toxins into the air. I mean, you surely remember the drinking water crisis in flint, Michigan? Do we really ALL want to suffer the same issues with our water that Flint, Michigan did? Or breathe brown carcinogenic air every day like in, say, some rust-belt Russian manufacturing city? Obviously, there needs to be some regulations in place.

As for customer protection, same thing: Do you WANT to be gouged, scammed, or cheated by buisnesses? Nobody does I would think. Hence, the need for regulations. If you are talking about removing the unnecessarily petty regulations then that's one thing. I am leery though, that many of the regulations being proposed for removal are laws that actually do some good for consumers (and for the environment.)
