There’s an 80s/90s anime called Ranma 1/2, where one of the characters, teenaged daughter of a dojo owner, has to fight her way to class every day, because someone told the male student body that whoever defeats her in combat can have her hand in marriage….and that’s far from the craziest thing going on in that series!

I think it’s currently free on Tubi in the states. The premise is: teenaged boy Ranma and his father are traveling in a move to combine their dojo style with that of another, owned by a man with 3 daughters, and betroth Ranma to the daughter I mentioned in the previous post. Along the way, Ranma and his father fall into a cursed spring, that turns them into the last person/animal that drowned in it whenever they’re splashed by cold water, and back to normal with hot water. Ranma turns into a red headed teenage girl, and his father turns into a panda! Along the way, there are other other transformations, suitors, classmates, family members, martial arts training and a fuckton of hijinks and shenanigans to deal with. It is wacky, to say the least!
