We have accumulated physical books (in general), SciFi, cookbooks, comix, maps, post cards, photos, certain publications (collect the entire set!), and paper ephemera. We're now dumping texts in favor of digital versions. We'll keep illustrated and oversize volumes.

We have amassed a museum-quality collection of ethnic arts. We know they're museum-quality because we saw a collection at a major museum -- and ours is better. We mostly bought those when we were employed and solvent. We go for more modest pieces now.

We have a vast collection of music on discs -- CDs, 33s, 45s, 78s -- and cassettes, all being slowly digitized -- as well as a fat batch of videos on obsolete formats. We have a large stack of classical 33s we have yet to unwrap and play. We're lazy.

My partner has a huge batch of decorative ornaments. I am still accumulating musical instruments. I have pretty much stopped acquiring cameras (over 40 now) and lenses (somewhat below 300). And antique radios. And religious artifacts from around the world.

We also have amazing assortments of cook- and table- and glass-ware, antique tools, original art, old cans and jars of spices, and more stuff that I can't recall at the moment.

We are shifting into collecting memories. They are easier to haul around.

I also collect Playboy magazines. I'm missing a bunch from the early 2000's (the NC years), and I had a flood in a storage closet and lost a bunch from the '90s. But I'm slowly replacing the lost ones, and working my way back into the early '80s. I even have a Mar 1970 (my birth month)

I use to collect Swarovski crystal figurines. Does photo albums count as I've been into scrapbooking since I was young.
