what do you call them where you are?

not all groups are made up of people

as i said, it all depends: depends on the context of the sentence.

Totally not related to this at all, but every time the word depends is used, all I can think about are the adult undergarments and I giggle.

have 'em handy - stress incontinence and all that :D

so i hear, anyway.

You been watching Skint on Channel 4? Think that's about em in a way...I can't, it's too much like being at work for me.

My Mum and Dad always called such folk "knackers" and it's stuck with me. My mate at work always says SOS. Sacks of shit. That way we don't actually get sacked ourselves.

people who scream at each other in the street, spit in public, hurl insults instead of arguing the point, fuck indiscriminately, drink too much?

in most places people seem to have a derogatory term for people who are, in their eyes, the underclass. what is it where you are?

(first troll to say 'dolfs' gets a pat on the head)

Natives.

i also add family.
there are very few people in my family that i recognize and deal with. i avoid all the others because they are not self aware and want to blame everyone else for their own actions. i keep track of who i am related to only for the fact if my kids want to date or marry and i can tell them, no that person is related to you. stay away from them. AND to let them know, that part of the family is shit house rat crazy. stay away from them.

Oh, she's a republican.

houso's.
Here in Oz, they are what people call public housing tenants who are predominantly unemployed.
There's actually a show called houso's - it's hilariously stereotypical
. Google it if you want a giggle.

i wondered if you'd seen 'made in chelsea'?

i don't watch it, or towie, or jersey shore - but it would seem to me that wealth doesn't automatically disqualify people from the behaviour you describe here.

plenty of churlish, pampered upper-crust, boozed-up, pig-mannered idiots with no respect for other people and who genuinely believe their 'status' in life means they can behave exactly as they please and everyone else and fuck orf.

lack of tv. a blessing or a curse?

blessing 99% of the time, curse when i'm lost at dinner parties for being ignorant of 99% of the conversation.

i should google some information on popular shows before going out with friends, just to avoid appearing a dinosaur

I actually have a few tv's but most times end up falling asleep trying to watch something.
I rely heavily on my kids to keep me updated about 'cool' shows so I don't seem like a complete ignoramus during conversations

i have embraced the antique scales look. a conversation about corrie? no amount of cool points are worth the suffering.

Definitely a blessing. Watching the damn things aren't worth the loss of IQ pts.

Ishmael

using your IQ points to determine what you should watch, or will simply enjoy watching, means you don't catch teh stupids.

as for the stupids, if they pay their licence fees then they're as entitled to watch what i'd call crap and enjoy it as i am to watch what they'd call crap and do the same.

it won't lower or raise your IQ - just feed you stuff you then use your IQ level to think about.

BWAHAHA!!!!!!!!!!!!! funny................
actually the crazy cousin i mentioned is a pagan wannabe hippy capitalist socialist democrat that voted for obama both times. i also think she's a lesbian in denial.
more fucked up than a soup sandwich.

for topic: we have nobody who goes into the street and yells at anyone. i can't even imagine that anyone in my neighbourhood would even think of doing that.

We have one member of the hunt who I can see doing much of that - hurling insults, yelling in public, spitting at people, etc. I ruled her off of my farm for being rude to me, if she's with the hunt when they cross, she has to stop at my property line or go around.

If I had to come up with a term for people (as a group), it would be 'common'.
