The terminology must differ from region to region, as according to some nurses I've known, "code brown" meant that some patient who'd received a box of chocolates forgot them in the room after he/she (usu. she) was discharged.

Actually this practice was started as a public humiliation right in the feudal area(looked it up after i read an author profilew stating they were into it.) i dont remember what the offense was for but basically they tied you to a post naked in the middle of town and every man in the village and any men passing through would jack off on your face.
