I saw an ad on the subway concerning immunization for babies from diseases like the measles and mumps and chicken pox, but I didn't recognize what Hib disease or Pertussis were.

Pertussis is whooping cough, and I think Hib has something to do with meningitis but I'm not totally sure, it's been a long time since my kids were babies

Code Brown

The terminology must differ from region to region, as according to some nurses I've known, "code brown" meant that some patient who'd received a box of chocolates forgot them in the room after he/she (usu. she) was discharged.

In the wonderful world of fighter airplane mechanics, "code brown" means the pilot midflight either got diarrhea or just plain had to shit. Pilots have piddle paks (yes, that is their OFFICIAL name) but not ones for poopy. Mind you, the mechanics never have to clean the brown up themselves... that's hazmat (seriously).

I could be wrong but i once read that seppuku was sort of a very fatal law suit. Two nobleman in japanese society ,after dueling went out of style, would have an argument over land or other dispute. To settle the dispute they would sit facing eachother and make a triangle shaped incision and then place their intestines in a bowl and then stuff them back into their bellies. If a person lived he was right. To me I think everyone just learned to get along after losing a few uncle's and father's.
