I am a curious person by nature. Even the most simple things entertain me.

So, what did you see on the way to work this morning?

Riff - are you working today? - you're not you idle bastard, are you?

Damn, I'm still trying to get out the door.

Make me leave, please!

:(

I'm so lazy.

Two speed camera's, a man dog (at three o'clock in the morning!!!), a drunk guy meandering down the road and at behind the garage a couple were making out.

Nothing as of yet, I start my new job on the 16th so for now I am a lady of leisure.

Riff.....I love the kitty in your av, I used to have one named (I can't spell this right I know) Nube (spanish for storm cloud according to my ex).

Dawn

I am sitting behind my desk awaiting the arrival of those who are about to join "us." Last day for high school seniors. :)

On the way to work I saw a middle-aged woman driving a new Ford Focus. I flew by her, she was driving so slow.

I saw the houses and the oak trees and the moss hanging in the morning light. It's really beautiful

I saw some cattle. Calf! Calf! Little baby cows!

I drove by the casinos. I was blasting Frank Black through the stereo with the windows down. A black casino shuttlebus driver pulled up next to me with his window down and gave me a very big smile (people such as he make my day).

The river. I saw the bend in the river with the sun shining down on the water.

Industry and lack of it. Factories. Workshops. Abandoned or vacant properties with soil toxicity that would make even the President blush.

Slums.

Campus.

Thanks. I am buying the Sunday Dallas paper to see what I can find.

Riff, this is so poetic. I'm moved. I mistook some of your students leaving for your end of term.
I take it life is full of promise for you.

Cats are great - they are wonderful for us in that they always look after their own needs first. They are a model for us who were brought up to believe it is our job to care for the rest of the world before ourselves. That is why cats were created.

And in looking after themselves first they are able to give great joy.

I warn you though that, like humans and geese, a lot of imprinting takes place in their early life. At college they used to have a burmese cat - the one with two bald patches behind its ears - and this, as a kitten had been thrown against the curtains in the common room, several times every evening, to see if it would stick.

Thus it developed a neurotic response. It would sit peacefully in your lap, purring away and then, suddenly, it would claw into the fabric of your trousers, holding on for dear life. In those days cat therapits were thin on the ground, so we kept the antiseptic cream at hand.

Trees roads cars people rushing to work, i Need to find a more senic route to work i think .lol

well

5 Mule Deer, 2 Pheasants and numerous geese and ducks.
As you can tell I drive through quite a bit of bushland and lakeland on the way to work.

Didn't see a thing today but the back of my eyelids, unless you include the dream i was having about Raven. Was my day off today.:D

I saw a circus setting up their rides and plenty of slow drivers. Had this big 18 wheeler pass me with pictures of gourmet ice cream all over it. I swear I was drooling all over my steering wheel.

Rain, lightning, and more freakin' rain. What I needed to see, and couldn't, was the road.

An unusually large number of coppers. Ahhh summer in a tourist trap. God bless cruise control.

On my way to work, I saw the Ravenswood projects, where I work after my regular job, the entrance to the Queensboro Bridge, lots and lots of trucks and buses, people crossing in front of me when they shouldn't have (I felt like I was in the Frogger video game for some reason), and the annoying Russian guy who is always smoking and who works in the parking garage.

Real damn interesting.

I saw a bunch of wild turkeys, I had to stop for them actually since they wouldn't get out of the road. But then I saw my neighbors dog running around with a barbie doll head in it's mouth. And I saw the sun coming up over the lake. As I got out of my car, I also saw a mother duck leading her babies up to the channel to get into the water. It was really cute.

the purple moutains majestic, with receding snow fields...

winter wheat, so green I could taste the chloropyll...

a middle school boy, waiting at a busy intersection, whose face revealed total thought suspension. He arrested my attention, and I wondered what sort of dream was living in his heart. Oh, to dream like the young...again...

Today I saw this crazy guy speed right by me! What a lunatic, he must have been doing at least 40.

Heh, but I really do drive a Focus.

Today on the way to class I saw a whole bunch of cement. Now what I smelled is an entirely different story. Ahhhh, behold the glory that is Philadelphia.

This morning I watched the sun stream down in ladders from these low, heavy grey clouds. I wastched people in their cars driving past me or behind me. I especially watched those who were singing, these beautiful, uninhibited people who just sang their way through rush hour. Then at work there are a pair of Canadian Geese on the pond and I watched them take their babies for their morning dip and swim.

It was a good morning commute.

Nothing really...until I got close to work and passed by a church with a sign that read, "Can't sleep? Try counting your blessings."

Will do that tonight....

Hmmm... I saw the hallway in my house... then the staircase down... then my computer and I was at work.
