I am writing a story that is primarily a cuckold story. There are of course overlapping themes. There is definitely a bi-sexual element and an MMF.

So here is the question, where do I put it? I of course don’t want to put it in loving wives. Is the bi element going to be a problem in other categories?

Thanks for the input!

I of course don’t want to put it in Loving Wives.

Mind if I ask why publish a cuckoldry story to Literotica if not in the cuckoldry category? Putting a story with strong cuckoldry themes in a category other than Loving Wives, even with warnings galore, tends to bring the worst out of Anon, doesn’t it?

No, the opposite is true. You are more likely to get away with a cuckoldry story if it is published outside Loving Wives, because Loving Wives is where the most vicious trolls exist.

The key is to include some other category element in the story and put it in that category. If there is a gay male element, for example, which may be the case if it's an MMF story with, as the OP describes it, bi elements, than perhaps put it in gay male.

This may only work if the other element is strong enough that it makes sense to put it in that category. Otherwise, members of that other category won't like it.

If it's predominantly a cuckold story without other strong elements, then go ahead and put it in Loving Wives. It will get some bad comments and the score won't be as high, but it will get more views, because that's the number 2 or 3 most-viewed category.

As has been said many times; LW can get nasty with cuckoldry and/or bi/gay content...but there is a large readership there. Gay category can get kinda snarky if there's not enough gay and hetero stuff is involved too much. I've used Group Sex before and was well received with a mmf story...but it be said that you won't get as many views.

Some like to go for the higher views and deal with the trolls....others prefer less drama and accept the lower readership.

Hope that helps, and best wishes to your success!

I reckon the mmf and bi drops it into Group or Erotic Couplings. You're trading off Views against the cesspit.

Maybe because not everyone wants to be abused by the rabid scumbags that patrol that category?

Calling the majority of that readership filth is better than they deserve and yet the site has proven time and again they will not only allow it, but encourage it.

This is good info for me to know. I’m surprised the cuckold-obsessed aren’t driven to evangelize their gospel hither and yon, but instead squat.

Put the story in group with a disclaimer about the bi content, to warn off the terminally homophobic.

LW does get a lot of views, votes and comments...second only to taboo I think.

Issue is its the type of comments and attention no one really wants.

There are plenty of cuckold-friendly LW readers who give favorable comments. It's just that people tend to notice the bad comments more than the good ones.

Normally I'd agree on the point of the majority of comments are good, but not in that snakepit.

There are some people who enjoy them, and will comment, which then leads to a bunch of comments now attacking the reader who had the nerve to say they liked it.

I've done three stories there

First was a deliberate FU to the burn the bitch crowd by writing a burn the bastard story, mixed results some good, lot of hate.

Second was a story meant as a satire. Problem is that when most of the readership has the IQ of a pet rock, satire is lost. I think that story is a 2.9 or something like that with a lot of hate, except from the few people who pretty much said "I see what you did there"

Third was an experiment of starting one off like a typical cuck story, then putting a spin on it...about a 4.2 with a fair amount of decent comments, but keep in mind it wasn't a true cuck story.

In general I'm thick skinned and I always say if a writer is thin skinned, they're not going to last long here. But as time has passed and LW sinks further and further into personal attacks, insults, threats and every type of racist, sexist, homophobic insults you can think of....I've come to realize that there are people who can take it....but have reached a point of why the hell should I?

A decent ownership who cared more about the authors that bring people to the site than the disgusting trolls would look into cleaning it up somewhat. But....yeah.

Ugghh it’s not a true cuckold story. More like a D/s. But I doubt it will fit anywahere. Maybe I’ll post it on smashwords no anon trolls there! Lol

Exactly.

Its telling of the readership here that there is a faction that trolls all day long

But in the paid market its much different, even for cuck/hotwife

I imagine the difference is in the market people are paying for the product, meaning they really want it. Here since its free every scumbag out there can come here and just blast away at things they hate.

How about BDSM, then? That encompasses a fair range of activity, and as far as I can tell the readership isn't especially trollish.

I wrote a "hot wife" story and published it in Exhibitionism. It was a combination of the two categories. I got some troll comments and votes, but the sweeps took care of the 1 votes and the negative comments are far outweighed by the positives. Views and score are fine.

As long as there's enough D/s to satisfy the readers, put it there.

I can't give proper advice without reading the story.
