What aspect about themselves should

Women as a group?

There is no one thing that all women need to improve upon.

Do you think women are more passive-aggressive than men? Doesn't it depend more upon the individual?

wait, this is a serious thread?

Nope. I've known men who are more passive-aggressive than any woman I've met.

I don't think that particular quality is gender based.

Depends on the woman of course.

Women in general? Communication. But then everybody needs to be able to communicate better so that is a no brainer.

Self worth.

I can't speak for everyone, but there are so many women out there who feel like they aren't doing enough.

Ladies.....we need to work on that. No one can do it all.

hmmm, interesting question

Sarcasm...

Men tend to either switch off, as the haze descends or think that you are serious (that's the annoying part)

I am dumping my sarcasm and replacing it with an advanced sense of irony.

In an emmergency, I do reserve the right to be caustic though

And you can't hide that a spelling buddy should be on your Christmas wish list. And add a personality to that list.

A report on The International Society for Research on Aggression's conference, in Montreal, Canada, said"

" Girls may be biologically hard-wired to engage in sophisticated, non-violent forms of aggression that can hurt just as much as a punch in the face from a boy, a conference heard Wednesday.

Indirect aggression among young girls includes gossip, back-biting and social isolation, which researchers say are types of behavior that can drive victims to suicide in extreme cases.

Researchers at a conference in Montreal this week said society may be encouraging indirect aggression among girls in the mistaken belief that such forms of conflict are a suitable alternative to fighting."

The article goes on to quote an academic researcher from the UK and a few others on the various theories...biological, cultural, behavioral....to explain the differences in the ways genders express aggression. (it's a Canadian Press piece so it's bound to be googled, I'd think, if you want to read the entire piece.)

One interesting finding of the research and the conference is the conclusion that indirect "female" aggression is just as harmful as direct "male" aggression...that it is fundamentally the same thing.

Good point and I agree. The saying "vanity, thy name is woman" is based on this premise; women, compared to men, have low self-esteem, and much of that is linked to physical appearance. True, much of this is due to society, culture and men, but women themselves have the most direct power to change themselves in this regard.

*sigh* I always get here too late to give the good answers. :)

I agree wholeheartedly with these assessments...if there's one thing that the majority of women need to work on...it's our self-esteem, self-worth. Many, many women allow themselves to be mistreated because they don't have this. And it's one of the few things, as Heretic said, that we as a gender have the opportunity to change.

Should I be feeling paranoid?

Maybe that is something that women should change...the paranoia factor.

This is something that has been an epidemic out here. We hear reports almost every week of a child/teen that has committed suicide due to the verbal bullying they receive in school.

I wonder if there are workshops to work on that aspect of a personality just as there are anger management ones?
