My job closed today, due to extreme cold. This was a massive relieve.

I just went outside to warm up my car and make sure it would start. Having now experienced -17 for myself, not having to work (outside!) today has gone from being a massive relief to a motherfucking miracle. I love not being frozen to death!

To anybody in the American midwest dealing with this cold, or anywhere else around the world currently being turned into an apocalyptic, frozen wasteland: Stay warm! Stay inside! Get help or shelter if you need it, please.

You are nuts! That's the reason I had to leave. Winter wasn't my favorite. I'll come visit in the summer. I really miss the orchards and farm stands.
