What Are You Thinking? Continued 14

Kuddos to those who make subtitles. It is the most tedious and time consuming thing. Translation is the easiest part, although I don't like that either. lol But to make them with timing, sync and all that jazz? Geezers! 😣
I’m surprised at how much I find myself using subtitles even though I can hear perfectly fine, especially on crime shows and documentaries.

It's not just a matter if hearing. I watch movies, tv shows and documentaries from all of the world. As much as I would like it, I don't know their languages, so I need the subtitles. But even with movies and tv shows in English I do use them. It helps improving my English and I always learn a new word or way of saying. I find them very helpful.

I'm thinking of a "Playground Analogy."

It's fun to flit and flutter around a playground, especially with a close friend. It's play, and play should be fun. Teasing, taunting, chasing, catching, is part of that fun.

When a particular piece of equipment strikes our fancy, we enjoy playing on it. If we're on it, and others want to use it, we're happy to share. If it looks like more want to use it, we are happy to move to another piece of equipment and let them have their fun.

Sometimes we run across other playground users who are perhaps envious of the fun we have together. Maybe they don't have a close friend to play with. We try to be their friend and share a little kindness.

Sometimes we run across other playground users who are perhaps jealous of the fun we have. They tend to act like bullies, and no-one likes bullies on a playground, us included. We may try to befriend them to help gentley show them a better way to treat people during play, or we may just ignore them. Either way, we never let them steal the joy of our play. Try as they may.

And so we continue to flit and flutter around the playground, enjoying our friendship as we play.

You may find my analogy childish, but then that's the point.

What is it that people see in the assholes I have on ignore? 🤔

Sometimes I second guess myself and give people Iggy-probation. You know, maybe I was just a bit cranky that day I pressed that button. Maybe they were just an asshole that day. But, I often find that I was correct to begin with.

Will this doc EVER get in here? Seriously, I have way too much time to be over-thinking this stuff right now!
