It's not just a matter if hearing. I watch movies, tv shows and documentaries from all of the world. As much as I would like it, I don't know their languages, so I need the subtitles. But even with movies and tv shows in English I do use them. It helps improving my English and I always learn a new word or way of saying. I find them very helpful.

It's really helpful trying to learn Hindi/Urdu for me. Things I hear my husband say to his brother that I think I know the translation & it confirms it or tells me I'm way off. lol
