I’ve seen some people here opine that there are a handful of men who get all the women here, at one time or another. I wonder if it’s because of people posting in threads like Have You Chatted or Why Haven’t You PM’d the Poster Above You… but those don’t automatically mean there’s something sexy going on between the posters. It’s possible to have purely platonic messages between men and women - I do it all the time. In fact, assume that anyone I say I’ve chatted with is platonic because you’re most likely right! (With a couple of exceptions - I’m not 100% pure )

Sooooo who made that system up?? If only a handful of guys are actively participating and a ton more of y’all are just silently waiting to be approached, that’s not going to happen. Obviously the men who TRY are going to have a better success rate, especially from a woman who is active and lively on the boards, like duh???

So much this! I notice a lot of "woe is me" from some folks on here. Just like in real life, the wallflower is generally not going to be plucked. Waiting for someone to start a conversation with you seems like an exercise in futility. You see/read something you like, reach out to that person respectfully.... some people have issues with THAT as well.
