White knighting is about screaming it over and over again. It is used to explain the privilage and space that men, who already occupy most of our spaces, take up under the guise of supporting others.
Edited to add-And kitty I agree. Having empathy is very important. And supporting your people is very important but there are ways to do this and ways to not do it. The way it is being done on Lit, in my opinion has moved right past empathy and support and is more about pot stirring. It is not helpful and not promoting a solution to an issue.
