What Are You Thinking? Continued 14

I still struggle with this. I've read many books that did not start off good. But finished really well. So I think I'd tell myself that I have to finish, in case it is that one book, that just finishes really well.;)

Ehehehehe.
I just don't have that patience anymore.

I get the feeling that you read very much the same way that my mom did. My mom could literally sit down and finish a book in a day. She would go through so many books.

Honestly that is how I used to read. Now I have a harder time focusing long enough to finish a book that quickly.

Yup. That's exactly how I read. :D
Though, last year when the pandemia started I was struggling. I just couldn't focus and read any kind of book, despite the time available. It's one of the reasons I ended up here actually. lol

Good book or bad book, which do you read through faster?

Can't put the good book down? Go slow and savour it?

Burn through the bad book as fast as possible, just to get it done?

Good book. Can't put it down. Read faster. Probably the reason that I like certain authors, or books that are part of a series.

I also would choose the latter. Even when things don't end the way that I want. The experience taught me something. I would rather have learned a lesson than to spend years wondering "what if"

What she said :) I can't take things being unfinished (I say as all my unfinished craft projects stare sadly at me from the closet)... I would drive myself crazy wondering what if

I should post-stalk Litsers more often. Some of the exchanges in threads throughout Lit that I don't normally see are priceless.

After 7 days of being I’ll, I actually feel alive again, at last.
So I don’t actually want to go to sleep.
But probably should!!

I am thinking that today feels like Christmas Eve and I probably shouldn’t be this excited

Remember when robocalls started on cell lines and everyone just stopped answering their phones forever.

More people die from Xmas tree fires each year than shark attacks but we gladly bring trees into our homes while leaving sharks out in the cold.

"Coward doesn't get you killed. It gets your friend killed."
True to e certain extent. Because, eventually, it will kill you too.

People with penis's are more likely to shake the nozzle after putting gas in than people without.

That is a rather astute consideration.

It could be a cheesy lead-in but that's actually pretty damned decent. Sets a tone.

Alright then, is that why this thread has legs?

I wonder what this next candidate is going to be like.
