I've seen and heard plenty of praise for Eric Clapton. My opinion of him was cemented in one very boring song that had too much play on TV decades ago. Then I heard Cream. It's better than modern corporate music, but still meh. He did some better work in the Yardbirds. My favorite Yardbirds song so far is from the Jeff Beck phase. Later I might get around to the Jeff Beck Group.

It's hard to fuck up a blues song especially with no lyrics, man.

Here's a song about a 24 year old woman marrying a 14 year old boy.

Joan Baez's high voice became much lower later in her career, so I wanted only her early work. But now that high voice often seems painfully high and loud. I might like her later work more.
