Saw the James Gang in 69', my first rock concert, Palm Beach, Fa. Not long after that I went to the Palm Beach Rock Festival. $20 for three days. Iron Butterfly opened in the rain and the Stones closed the show. Janis Joplin jammed with the Vanilla Fudge. I could go on... Pacific Gas and Electric, etc.

I still have my ticket stub. Slept under the timing tower at the drag way. It was Joplin singing that woke me up to go see her in the middle of the night.

The guy who owned the drag way had a used car lot in town. the sheriff torched it. It was a fucking war outside the festival. The sheriff filmed a dude OD - ing to death he had cuffed to a chair.
