Kate Bush - Running Up That Hill
(not the horrible Within Temptation cover, mind you. Yuck)
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0kkbYuYhZBw - I Can't Wait (also check out the Metal Revision if you like that)

The thing is, I need my music to have a fast beat. I can't enjoy a lot of 'classic' rock songs because they are a bit slow for me.
Basically when people hear my playlist, they should feel terrified enough to get an adrenaline rush (e.g. the LapFox Trax song)
You Want It Darker - Leonard Cohen

What did you do in the war, Dad? -- Sonata Arctica
next in the queue:
Helden -- Apocalyptica feat. Till Lindemann
^cover of Heroes -- David Bowie
@haulover:Yup, it's off "Season's End". My fave with Hogarth is the "Holidays in Eden" album and I'm a total fail for mixing up those two.I'm a bit behind on current Marillion. Wasn't too thrilled with their output post-"Brave".

Talking about Dan Swanõ: You need to check out his "Witherscape" project. Great prog album between harsh death metal and warm, atmospheric hard rock. The latest Nightingale album is fantastic too.
Within Temptation: I've been listening to them since their "Enter" record, and honestly, they haven't released anything I particularly liked after "Mother Earth". Granted, they have evolved, but I prefer their less overblown, honest stuff. That cover album was the last straw. So much wasted potential.
...I'm listening to Sirenia's "Dim Days of Dolor" album. New vocalist (again). It's surprisingly good after a very lukewarm year for female-fronted bands. Nightwish, Epica and Delain's new output was technically stunning, but lacking in the long-time appeal. A shame.
Lindsey Stirling - Elements
Random YouTube find. Why haven't I heard of this earlier?
Hubby just introduced me to her last month, and that was my thought as well.Hubby just introduced me to her last month, and that was my thought as well.
