What are we all writing right now?

Dabbling in BDSM for the first time. Story about a high powered software architect named Emily Tamer and her hobbies. Lots of very interesting research involved with this one.
Does Emily specialize in databases? I heard many setups are of a master/slave kind ;)

So I'm working on my Pink Orchid piece. It's a sci-fi story set in an existing universe. Finally finished the Intro (about 6000 words) that I know needs to be trimmed down, but I am particularly proud of the imagery in this passage.
“Do you acknowledge that you are isorla?” His voice boomed over the external speakers again. She thought about checking in with the rest of her team to see how they were faring, but it didn’t really matter. They had agreed to the duel, the loser would submit to the other. She looked up at the face of the stylized helm; when she raised her knife it caught the light of the afternoon sun.

She was Clan Ghost Bear. At 17 she was among the last five in her sibko to complete training and be offered the right to be a warrior. She completed her Trial of Position as a Star Commander. She had risen to the rank of Star Captain in service to the 1st Bear Guards and been given command of the 310th Assault Trinary. She traveled to Strana Mechty and participated in The Clawing Ritual, though her party did not capture or kill one of the great bears that was their totem. Twice she had competed in the Grand Melee for the opportunity to gain a bloodname. The second time she had survived to the final three. At the age of 35, her command had been given to the winner of the bloodname she had failed to secure weeks earlier. She had served seven more years under them as a Star Commander. When she lost that command in a Trial of Position, her opponent asked her to remain in his star, even though she was more than twice his age and ten years older than anyone else in the star.

Even when they assigned her to “honor guard” at the Temple of the Bear, she had served with honor even though she knew she was considered solhama, those too old to serve in line units as true warriors. When she dishonored herself by attacking her commander, a young hot shot elemental that mocked her for her age and failure to achieve bloodname, she was given the option of going to Xi Galaxy. She had very seriously considered becoming a Den Mother to the sibkos rather than serving in the so called “Last Change Galaxy.” But she was a warrior, not a babysitter.

This knife had been a gift from her Den Mother when she completed her Trial of Position. It had served her faithfully for 36 years, been in every battle, on every training mission, had always been close at hand. She took one last look at it glinting in the sun, then she deliberately threw it away.

I'm trying to wrap up my first all lesbian story. I now realize the timing is good, if I can get it done on time, an entry for the Pink Orchid.

I need to wrap up this romance story. I already defused the possible conflict and we've had both plot and sexual climaxes... I sometimes get stuck finding the right ending in such circumstances. I want to set up a possible sequel but not make it necessary to the overall story the characters are living.
Once that's done, I need to find a new inspiration. My craft is starting to reassert itself, but I still think I need to write a couple more shorts before launching myself back into the two novel length pieces that I'm really hoping to finish.

edit to add: if anyone has a plot bunny they'd like to read and aren't likely to write, I'm all ears. No guarantee I'll be inspired by one of them, but I am open to suggestions.

Apparently we are all write a lot of hateful nonsense in the political threads.

THis is my first forum post but I have been writing here for a couple of years and have 6 stories published, written first person POV, mostly about my experiences as a young gay man.

Now working on a longer story 3rd Person POV focusing more on the characters and plot and less on the sex. Trying to write a good story as opposed to spank material. I write GM BDSM D/s Interracial humiliation so turning all that into an intersting story has been a challenge.
Welcome! We seem to have a current shortage of GM writers in the AH, so your presence will be a very welcome addition

Thinking about my attorney/biker story, whether to relocate it from the USA to Germany and what twists should be build in.

A woman starts writing on LE, at first it spices up her sex life because she gets a little “method” about her writing and wants to experience what she’s writing about. However, as her writing expands into new areas so does her experimentation. She has an idea for a cheating story, but she’s always been a faithful wife.
The version in my head takes a darker turn, but it could be a fun story as well.

I'm working on the third in a series of connected Loving Wives stories which I'm calling my "Book Club Series." It's a group of neighborhood women who meet each month to discuss a book they've chosen for that meeting.

Some of the books involve infidelity or sex, and the women discuss their opinions of the book. Then the story goes on to reveal the private life of one of them which is related to the book they shared.

These stories are to highlight the hypocrisy or secrets which go on around us all. For example, in the second story recently posted as "Going Down Together", a wife is told her husband is cheating, and it's the story of her revenge. But she also finds the most judgmental and opinionated of the Book Club women knows her own husband is cheating.

The next WIP story is one of the monogamous, teetotaler wives in the club silently worrying her husband of 20 years will discover her promiscuous past from before they met. I'm thinking of titling it "Neverland, a Past You Never Want to Revisit."

Finished and submitted two stories. A Mike Hammer 2025 event story entitled 'The Case of the Disappearing Minx' will post in July.

The second will post Feb 10th. It is entitled 'The Orphan' and is a biography piece in non-erotic. It focuses on military service and how an orphaned kid made it through WWII, Korean War days, and got entangled in Vietnam. One reviewer says it was a choked up moment over reading the preview.

I hid a lesbian romance story in NonHuman. Let's see if anyone notices.
(The above sentence is a reference to an old coffee commercial that surfaced in my brain recently, for some reason.)

Debrief notes following a fishing competition event that made a lot of other people happy but has left me with a tick in my eye. So much to do next year to make the event run more smoothly. I can't even feel sorry for myself. I love it. I love the event. I love the fishing. I love service and involving myself in something that i feel passionately about. But dear fucking god, people make shit so fucking hard for themselves.

Next week, when i'm finished writing functional records, i might write something about rude stuff. I'm feeling particularly grotty lately. And i reckon there'll be a fishing theme with some of the characters who have annoyed me over the weekend getting themselves some karmic sutra.

I am starting to outline my first fiction story based on a fantasy my bf shared with me a few years ago, about the possibility of meeting a stranger on vacation who I eventually give a very intimate and sensual handjob to, which ignites some hot passion with my bf after the stranger leaves. The thought of exploring this 'what if' senario has occupied my mind lately 😋

Turning a love letter from my journal into a piece of fiction that will go live once it's finished. Diptych fell apart due to February being February, but I'll pick it back up once the February vibe ends. I actually forgot how much I love Valentine's Day until I wrote that letter in my journal.

“I’m not a demon,” Helle hissed. “Not even a half-demon.”

A new dark sword & sorcery story set in the same city as Rulk the Rat and the Demon Dagger, which I'm provisionally calling "the City of Scum". A "not even a half-demon" encounters a were-rat. Totally pantsing this one, I have no idea where it's going except for one or two scenes.

Just finished and uploaded my reunion story I've been working on the last couple of weeks.

the characters from the first stories I uploaded here were high school sweethearts. some things in their lives paralleled my first long-term girlfriend and I. I decided to try and write a story based on them reconnecting after the kind of gap I would face if T. and I rehooked up after so long. It turned out to be more character-driven, and less sex driven, than I was originally intending. But I think it's a good tale. I feel like I'm getting back into a groove. Next, I'm probably jumping back into the aptly titled Things Left Undone, a ghost story that has been sitting in its current state since about 2009. I'm sure I'll write a couple more shorts before that's finished, since I projected it at about 85K and it's a good 35K short of that right now. I need to solve an issue with a supporting character that seems to have taken over the book. Maybe I'll write a couple shorts starring her so I can get her out of my mind enough to refocus the novel.

Working on a few ideas...
Chapter 15 of Girl For The Goths
a Chapter 4 (and possibly final chapter) for Saturday Night Slut...a little scared to go back to that story because that's what I was working on when I hit MAJOR writer's block that lasted a long time.
A new hypno story
Possibly a new chapter for A Summer Day (still early, figuring out what i want to do)
A bit of a true story (with some likely embellishments) of public play tasks

Also slowly working on a couple other ideas I've had for stories.

Now just trying to figure out what to put my focus on.

I had a flash of inspiration this afternoon for a 750-word story. I'm nearly done with it, although I don't know whether I'll publish it. "A Cold Dish":

The silence of the room was broken by the regular click-click-click of lacquered heels. De Gaviscon recognised the tread, familiar from long acquaintance.

“How now, Labec? Have you not abandoned me like all the others?”

The feet halted a few paces behind his chair. The Comte de Labec’s voice, when he spoke, was soft and even. “I have not abandoned you. I am here, De Gaviscon, at the end of it all.”

Nearly two years ago, I had the urge to do a short series where I could combine many of my interests. I started it, enjoyed the way the characters were interacting, and then... stopped.

I never abandoned it. I just didn't know where it was going.

It swirled in the Pantser's Limbo until a couple of months ago, when the story began to prod at me again like an experimental erection at an uncertain asshole. So I opened the story, read what I'd done, and opened my mind... and, like magic, the rest of the story smashed into me over a period of about a day and a half.

So now I'm writing that, and having a wonderful time. I'm confident, now, that I'll finish, probably sooner rather than later.
