What are we all writing right now?

nothing right now.
Stepdaughter ch 5 is done. My editor still has the tentacle story, and the stepdaughter story is twice as long, so it might be a while before it sees daylight.
not feeling blocked, just wondering what to write next. Test driving a few ideas over on Story Ideas.
eta: the tentacle story is edited, but holding it to post after the stepdaughter story. Still waiting for my muse to get me started on the next...

deep breath, pray that the black cloud has passed...
I just started another sequel to My Father's Secretary. The secretary's daughter comes for a visit. Inevitably, it will turn out that she was conceived during that magic summer 25 years ago, making her the NN's daughter as well.. so this will be the incest chapter, if I ever finish it.

My current work is about two young actresses that the world thinks are involved, but aren't. Right now, I'm exploring how Hollywood treats them compared to how fans and detractors see them. Lots of personal stuff between them as I try to figure out if they're going to get together romantically, or if show business will ruin their friendship and prevent them from becoming a couple.

That sounds interesting.

I've been doing a lot of showbiz stuff in recent and upcoming stories; definitely a wealth of ideas there.

It was inspired by speculation I saw on YouTube about Jenna Ortega and Emma Myers. Got swept up in it a bit myself. Right now, their names are Jenna and Emma in my work-in-progress. I will probably change them before publication.

Long time ago, there were rumors about Helen Hunt and Gillian Anderson having an affair and making out at a private red carpet awards after-party.

Other possible (or confirmed) lesbian research: Aubrey Plaza, Amy Smart, Michelle Rodriguez & Bebe Neuwirth (Lilith on Cheers and Frazier).

Can't I pay you in catnip to keep the fucking slut over there at your place for a bit? 😭

She already seems to be in permanent residence. Maybe it's not the same muse, maybe they're just twins.

evil twins of course.
I think their big sister is at my place. hopefully she's just visiting, because right now I'm dry.

And suddenly I think the three of you need to work on a chain story of these muses getting together for some ... inspiration (or giving each other tips on how to keep their stamina up as they suck your inspiration dry)

I'm working on the first story in what I hope to be a series about a husband/wife pair in a 24/7 total power exchange BDSM relationship - this first one setting up *how* that got started in the first place.

And also have an idea that keeps jumping into my mind about writing another "How To" essay on having a spankable ass - but I can't seem to find the rules on how citations would work, because I'd want to have properly researched aftercare routines in there but don't know Lit's policy on how I would cite my sources.

I don't think they have any policies regarding citations, since the situation probably doesn't arise very often at all. If you're going full-on scholar I suppose you can just use standard APA, MLA, or whatever other style seems appropriate. They don't allow links to offsite web content, but they may permit you to cite the URLs of any relevant websites.
The sad part is that you won't be able to make it Illustrated.

Don't be too sad. I haven't yet worked on my drawing skills and stick figures don't have very spankable asses.

People talk about messaging Laurel and the like all the time. Is there a way to ask "them" what they would and would not prefer in that regard? I'm not going full on scholar mode per se, but I don't want to plagiarize either because it just feels wrong.

The Illustrated category used to host stories with photos, which is more or less where my mind went.
You could try messaging her ahead of time, and she might respond to a query like that I suppose, but she's apparently quite busy. It's probably better to finish writing your best-practices spanking guide and include a note to the editor once it's submitted.
She can make modifications to whatever citations you provided if they pose a problem for her. Most citations are basically just authorship, title, and publication data (if applicable); trying to create links to the sources is the only part I think would cause any potential issues. You can add them in with an acknowledgement in the notes that you did so in case she feels an exception is warranted; if not, she'll just strip them out like any other unwanted or unsupported markup.

an online article-to-be for workity work, since I can't go into the office because my nurse, who is over an hour overdue, seems to have forgotten about me.
moved on to My Father's Secretary Ch. 3. Tried to resist because an incest turn was so obvious and irresistible. Not that I'm totally opposed to that (some worry that by category hopping I might lose the readers of earlier chapters, without necessarily gaining new ones), but I was concerned that it might be repetitive of a story in my A Perfect Thunderstorm series. So far, that risk seems to have been avoided. Will see how the story turns out, but have already invested enough thought that I'm virtually certain to submit it in due course.

and I got the article in to the office before 5:00 yesterday. Still owe them at least one though. That won't get done today.

Imagine a version of Star Wars where, in shock and vulnerable at Alderaan's destruction, Leia becomes susceptible to the Dark Side. Potentially she's just as strong as Luke. Driven by a core of anger and hatred, she's goaded by Darth Vader into ever more extreme deeds.

"Princess Leia: White Lady of the Sith" is a story that I might write if wasn't taking time away from writing. It would probably involve Luke being chained up in a cell and Leia coming to interrogate him.

I just started what could be one of my most epic stories. It's going to be a mix of fun, but with some consequences mixed in as its an erotic monkey's paw type of set up. Lot of potential for spin off stories and in all genres.

Haven't been this excited about a story since my Mom Experiment series and that one did extremely well for me.

You could always change names & details and make it an original story.

I just finished the rough draft of my Halloween story. 26,500 word BDSM story about a Domme that takes off her mask for Halloween. This is my first BDSM story, so my google history is now all kinds of fucked up and weird. Thank God my wife doesn't use my computer.

Of course in the last scene I realized something that changes a mid story scene to a prologue scene, but then I have to figure out what to do with the prologue I wrote...

I'd have to rework the Force into something with generic white and black magic, and by that time it wouldn't be worth it.

My main objection to writing it isn't the setting, just the fact that my writing batteries are giving me the 15% warning and I need to recharge.

Remember the old west six shooter in Westworld (the move) and the BATTERY flashing that it was dead.

Even though I have three (THREE!) complete drafts that I could be polishing into final stories, not to mention a fourth incomplete draft that I really like and should get back to, I'm procrastinating on all that to write a costume-themed story for Literotica's 2025 Halloween contest. I'm going back and forth over the ending but the story will be titled, "Aphrodite's Law."

In my most recent story one of the characters is writing a book about a family that discovers their parents/grandparents are brother and sister.
This morning while I was doing some mindless data review my brain decided to give it some thought… fucking brain
I now know that grandma and grandpa ran away from home when she got pregnant at 16 (by her brother).
At twenty they began to swing with a couple of co-workers because they were worried about their relationship being obvious since their first two kids look enough alike to be twins. 3 years later they formed a poly-quad. They have 6 kids by 4 fathers (deliberate) over 11 years. There are 13 grandkids born over a 16- year window, 4 of them in an 11 month period.
2 of those 4 have same father and are 1 month apart. The older lives with his father and mother. The younger lives with his mother and only knows his father as his uncle…. His mother is still having an affair with his father and his father’s wife; though the husband and wife don’t know they are both having an affair with the same woman and have been for 17 years.
Two of the grandkids are about to blow the whole thing wide open.

The problem is that I already have 3 in-process novel length stories that I’m writing. I don’t have time for this…
