What am I doing wrong?

I tried to start a new thread on the amateur pic section which was to include a jpeg pic of me.

I typed in a title and message text in the body then went to 'Manage Attachments' went to browse and choose a pic on my hard drive, then clicked upload. I then clicked on 'preview' message and text was there but no attachment. I tried several times with the same result. I read your FAQ section regarding posting a pic which I followed to no avail.

What am doing wrong?

it uploaded? you may need to resize it

Pics don't show up on "preview post" - try submitting it and see if it's there when the post shows up. It will usually tell you if your pic is too big when you try to upload it.

Size of the pic is 640x480, jpeg, 25.0 KB which is not not large so should not need to be resized. Before I previewed the message I looked at the regular message box and the attachment was not there. I then went to the preview message box with the same result. I tried three browsers with the same result. When I used the attachment box I clicked on browse, choose the pic, then clicked upload (using Firefox) and the dotted circle spun, indicating upload activity, then stopped which I assumed added the attachment to the body of my message text.

I could hot link to a pic hosting site but would prefer not to because of the nature of the pic. I will kep trying as it is probably something on my end which is causing the problem.

You'll have more freedom and ease for viewers with the hosting site. There are several that allow adult images - google 'free image hosting adult' to find one. Photobucket and Imageshack aren't good options.
