Yep it's wet out there this morning.

There have been reports of Tornadoes setting down to the west of us but nothing around us even though we have been under Tornado Warnings since last night.

There is standing water in the yard.

WE had received 4 inches of rain by 0830 this morning. Not bad.

We still have power but it's flickered a couple of times.

Wind gusts of up to 60 have been reported around us.

A branch I warned my neighbor about came down earlier. Too bad it took out his Patio. (I was willing to help him take down the branch but he didn't think it needed to come down.)

I'll be making Chimichuri with sweet baby Carrots, Sourdough Bisquits and Grilled Corn for dinner tonight.

Talk to ya'll later. I'm going out to check out the neighborhood.

In 1973 we got a similar soaking, 23 inches of rain in like 4 days. Everything was flooded. I lived on a small river, and it was up to the back door when the rain stopped.

Well it looks like the rains have gone away for the most part down here. We're still getting some good wind gusts though.

I did notice a bit of damage to the trailer when I went out. Nothing major and I don't think it's from the winds. One corner of my roof is a bit loose. I think that this section has been loosened by the Cabbage Palm growing there. Thankfully the roof section was held down by the cable and cribbing I put up there earlier. I'll be up there tomorrow fixing it so I don't have to worry about it in the future.

Around our area there is some damage, but much less than I expected. My neighbors patio is flattened. A mobile home down the road seems to have some major roof damage. I'll find out about this tomorrow I'm sure. On the roads there are some tree branches and Palm Fronds down. Some streets are still flooded and further west they had a Tornado touch down destroying several barns.

On the news they just had some video of a Mobile Home park my wife and I looked at a couple of towns north of us. The park sits in a very scenic hollow. That hollow is their undoing however as they now have several feet of standing water flooding the trailers.

So tomorrow I'll be up on the ladder in the morning to fix the roof and then it will be time to crawl under the trailer to check out why I'm not getting as much cold air from my A/C as I'm used to. (Now that will not be a fun job.)

Glad you came out OK Cat. :D
Beware of reptiles under the trailer, especially if it's skirted.

Oh I will be aware of them. They on the other hand, depending on what they are, need to beware of me and my appetite.
