for being friendly with someone that someone else I am friendly with does not like.

I don't like people dictating who I should and should not be friends with. This is not elementary school. There are plenty of people here who I don't like, who have insulted me and many others, yet people I am friendly with here are friendly with them as well.

To tell me "I am not your friend" because of who I associate with at Lit is ridiculous. I teach first grade all day and hear this shit enough there; I don't need to come to Lit to hear it as well.

I guess it doesn't matter that I'm posting this since the person it's directed to won't see it. I just needed to air my feelings on this matter. I'm disappointed that I have lost a friend over something like this.

Chances are if they put you on ignore to begin with, they'll take you off the next time they log on.

I've had someone place me on ignore for about 2 days. Not for the same reasons.. but because they had a crush on me and became upset that I didn't have the same feelings.

Still sucks tho.. sorry you're going through it.

I am sorry that this hurt you. I agree that it is very "first grade" of them. Oh well, it is their loss.

Who would say that?
I'd rather not say.

Kitty, I have a feeling that I won't be taken off of ignore, but you know, if that person doesn't want to be friends with me because of who else I'm friendly with, I might be better off. It still hurts though.

ksmybuttons, thank you.

It hurts whenever you lose someone you consider a friend. Believe me I know what that's like. Again, I'm sorry it happened.

ok, IMHO, the best way to handle thing s are in PM. I'm a jerk on the board, but in PM.... I am very fair and discreet. Ihope everything gets worked out for you.

BTW kitty, TAKE YOUR THUMB OUT OF MY ASS AND STOP BLOWING IN MY PEE HOLE.... IT'S BIG ENOUGH. ;-)

I did PM the person but got no response. By the way, if someone has you on ignore, they don't get the PM until they take you off.

This is exactly why I have told every person that PM's me that they should not show respect, or support for me "out here"

I'm sorry Ms Minx.

But I knew this would happen eventually.

LOL

That information would have been handy a month ago. ;-)

And since there is only a few of us posting at this rediculous hour, and fewer that would be so "Dramatic" to say that, and do that....I think we all know who it is.

Well, since you're not out looking for a job, CSI Mullett Chops, you won't mind telling us.

Come on and solve the big case of who's on Ignore.

I've been in that spot before, tho not ignored for my choice of friends. I find that it hurts like hell.

this too shall pass

Think of it as one of your kids voluntarily putting *himself* in the timeout corner, to think about what he did and maybe, just maybe, realize that cutting off Cameron's ponytail wasn't the great idea he thought it was at the time.

And then again, this person could think that because s/he ignores you, you'll dedicate a lot of time and worry to his/her feelings. So this whole thing is an ego trip.

I hope for the former and believe in the latter.

I'm sorry. But you know what? Take a step back and just shake your head. This is idiotic behavior on the ignorer's part, and like ksmybuttons said, it really is this person's loss. You're openminded and stouthearted enough to both make friends and support them in the face of criticism. I'm sorry that you're in pain. I hope that your attitudes and your posts don't change.

Lol-I know this because I had someone whose posts annoyed the fuck out of me on ignore for a while. When I finally took her off to see if she had anything of interest to say, a PM from her popped up.

Sorority_girl, thank you for your words. By the way, what sorority?

Re: Ignore

I have warm arms and a shoulder for you if you want or need it.
(virtually)

Why did Monas AV with the girl in front of the sorority flag using a "cum bong" (for gods sakes:eek: ) pop into my head.

Oh yes, minxie,

I had the same thing happen and basically shrugged my shoulders.

Umm oddly enough, I used to think we were all adults here.

Perhaps, I am wrong?

:p

It must be the weather or something. I was told EXACTLY the same thing for pretty much the same reasons this morning. LOL... I'll still chat to ya Sunshine.:D

Sorry to hear that, LM. Just to let you know, I won't put you on ignore for something that childish, no matter the real reasons.

You are still someone with whom I like to speak to, and I will not ignore you because of who you talk to.

For what it's worth, you're all right in my book. Hell, you teach first grade - you should be canonized.

Well, I've been accused of childish behaviour...

so, I guess you're right, Sweets! :D

Minxie, the only "ignores" I have are "the nasty Nazi" and that dumbie former friend of Vixie's - the one that fucked up our computers...

The machinations of the lovelorn around here NEVER cease to amaze me! :(
