20 minutes ago, a Pavehawk flew down from JBER and crossed Turnagain Arm headed for the Kenai Peninsula. It's snowing and the wind is blowing. Likely, it's a rescue mission. No one flies helos in this weather for fun. The bird looked to be right at 500' above terrain.
 
Let's see. A glacier is a moving mass of jumbled ice. And Knik Glacier ends at a lake/river confluence so there is water under the ice. The red flags are everywhere, but some people.....
