We don't give a damn how they do it OUTSIDE.

It happens more than you might think. There's one of my HS classmates dead in a crashed plane on a glacial ice-fall in the Alaska Range along with a few other construction types. I even worked on the project that those poor bastards were headed out to work on.

Oh, I know and understand. I've been asked to come up to AK to fly. But I know that I'm not cut out to be a bush pilot there so I always say NO. I also know that I wouldn't like all that cold wx.

There's a saying, "There are old pilots and there are bold pilots, but there are no old bold pilots." This is not a place to be fucking around. The clouds can be pretty hard.

Yep, I know that saying very, very well.

I want to be an old pilot, so that is why I'm in the lower 48.

Probably one of those idiots that think that just because they have a 4x4 that they can do anything and that snow, ice nor rain means anything to them - not realizing that 4x4 means absolutely nothing unless you know how to drive in the first place
