I saw this and the thought went through my mind about how she's telling the dog that his ancestors grew up over there on the mountain and he has distant cousins who live there now.

And the dog believed her, but ain't wanting no part of that.

The only photo of the trip. That little round top is Nearpoint and there are people on top. My phone camera did not have the resolution to pick them up, but I could see them from the spot I stopped to have a drink of water and put my sweater on. Then, the phone battery died on the way up. That'll teach me to put in in an outside pocket of my daypack.

BTW, it's an out and back trail, so the vertical is done in 4 1/4 miles.
