We don't give a damn how they do it OUTSIDE.

Hmmm.

What's a feed station? And how long is (was?) this race supposed to go on for? Is this like a Tour De France kinda thing?

4 laps is 50km. A feed station is a place to get a drink, a piece of banana, etc. The winner was 2 hours, 34 minutes.

I knew somebody who was going to Alaska recently in hopes of seeing animals. I was telling him that there was lots of wildlife in Denali, but it's in terms of acres/animal, rather than animals/acre along the salmon streams in season. He'd have to be vigilant.

I always think of the salmon runs as nutrient conveyors bringing food from the ocean to the interior. Then it occurred to me that the June/July tourist runs serve a similar purpose, bringing food to the mosquitoes who feed the birds who feed the cross foxes.

The tourists are money conveyors that help out the local economy.

If you wanna see animals, just sit on my deck or take a walk in the neighborhood. There's plenty of wildlife.
