State Parks reports that the RCC (Rescue Coordination Center) has just effected an extraction of a party of two earlier this afternoon from the vicinity of the Mint Hut. No injuries or burials as I understand it. Two feet of new wet heavy snow are reported with high avalanche activity. Apparently, the party made a decision that it was too unsafe to travel, triggered some sort of a personal locator device and requested help. State Parks has requested that this information be made known to any parties planning a trip to the huts at Hatcher Pass. It dangerous up there now!"
