We don't give a damn how they do it OUTSIDE.

Alaska has plenty of transplants from your state.

I just met a guy who has a place in Homer? ( and one in Rhinelander Wisconsinand one in Ironwood Michigan) He does commercial fishing up there.

Alaska has always (since i was just a little girl and my uncle lived there and got me started on my polar bear obsession) been number one on the states of the US that I will photograph my way through.

My new friend has offered me some assistance in guiding me through the state and showing me some of the places that not all tourists get to see. I a super excited. Perhaps having to take 8 months to a year off after surgery will have some unexpected advantages!!

Lots of out-of-state people come up in summer to take advantage of the resources and the jobs, but they are whimps and can't handle the winters.

Homer is an interesting town. A drinking town with a fishing problem. :) Actually, it's a pretty nice place to live if you can find work.

A new Alaskan friend? Do I know him?
