how fast are you noticing these (the posts above and below about the permafrost thawing etc...,) changes happening, t, and are you seeing noticeable impact from them?

First, the term is thawing (or warming) and not melting. That's a stickler that I must insist on. When you pull the turkey from the freezer to prepare it to cook, it thaws, it does not melt.

There is substantial evidence of permafrost warming in western Alaska and on the north slope. "Fast" is a relative thing and it's rather quick, geologically speaking.

And, there are noticeable impacts that I've seen in the past 40 years of practice.

But, many of the impacts that are shown in documentaries are due to poor design and not climate change.

I have to say that climate warming is good for business. :D
