Waxing the pubes

Being a guy I do like to keep myself shaved but I hate like hell having to shave every other day to get rid of the stubble growing in.

Do any of you guys wax and if so how long does it last. Also what product would you recommend??

I don't wax, shave or anything else, but especially I don't wax -- I cannot imagine myself ripping my pubic hair out by the roots.

Search the BB for threads about Magic Shave (tm) -- it's the (semi)-official hair removal procuct of Literotica. If you aren't one of the unfortunate few who are overly sensitive to it, it is the smoothest, least painful method available.

Dear God, don't wax it!

If you don't believe me, buy one of those waxing kits with the other hair removers in the drugstore, and try it on an arm or leg first. The results may be longer-lasting than shaving, but the pain might scar you for life.

i've always wondered about waxing certain parts (none of the real delicate ones)

umm waxing off pubes? all i gotta say is must hurt, gimme a razor anyday

Why not just try it once and see if you like it or can handle the pain? I'm sure it will hurt at first, a lot of things worthwhile do, but that doesn't necessarily stop us from doing them. :p Do you have a low or high pain threshold? I don't see how it could hurt any worse for a man than a woman. You might get used to it. But that's just a woman's point of view, so what do I know?

are you crazy even I wont try that

Who, me? :D No I'm not crazy, but I have a very high pain threshold, I've survived much worse than a waxing. All I can say is he won't know until he tries it.

any recomendations on wax? i saw a brazillian wax thread around a while ago......

Waxing

I am a male and just started waxing. I have been waxed twice now. My gf talked me into it. It really doesn't hurt that bad. Even on you balls it is ok. My first wax was the base of my cock, balls, and all the way up my ass. I always just kept the area above my cock trimmed. The second time I had her wax everything. It is the best feeling masturbating now with no hair. Everything is so smooth.

Dont be afraid try it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
It will grow back if you dont like it. Many women wax now. It is becoming very popular. As for how long it last............about 4 weeks for me. It grows back slower the more you do it and also grows back in, much softer, not coarse.

To each his own with specific wax products, but beauty supply stores carry "numbing" products that really help with the pain. My pain threshhold is pretty high in general but the numbing stuff helps with that YEEEOWCH in my pubic area. I shave my labia almost every day, but wax the top-sides (tweeze in between).

I actually enjoy the sensation of ripping the hair off my legs, underarms, upper lip (doesn't even need it) and eyebrows. It doesn't seem like pain - more like a nice hard scratch.

Idea: maybe you should go to a salon for the first time - they are like doctors in that they've seen it all - you don't have to be too inhibited.

Oh - and EXFOLIATE to prevent ingrowns. But not with a salt scrub.

Have fun!

I'm about 45 minutes north of the Palm Beachs.

I don't think I would feel comfortable going into a public place dropping my drawers and asking them to wax the hair down there. It's something I would rather do in the privacy of my own home. As for exfoliating what would your use?

I have a pretty high pain threshold also and right now pretty much shave every other day once I feel the stubble. I have done the plucking thing and it really does not hurt but there is way too much hair that grown in to just pluck it out.

I know there is something new that can be done to remove hair permanently. I saw it on Howard Stern when he had a few women on and they we're talking about it. They said it takes about 3 visits to get it done. Probably expensive but might be worth looking in to.

I use a loofah, or a plastic mesh scrubbie thing. Just lather up and gently scrub - I shower or bathe every day, so it just keeps taking that thin top layer off (I think).

The first time I waxed my legs, I didn't religiously exfoliate, and 3 weeks later when it started to grow back in, it was like GAAAHHHH every time I had goosebumps - the hair was stabbing me from the inside! I ended up doing a LOT of exfoliating in too short a time, and ended up with lovely red dots.

So EXFOLIATE EXFOLIATE EXFOLIATE !!!

Listen, SFG, call a salon and see if they do guys. If they do, just go on in - they've seen it all and won't think twice about you (unless you have something extraordinary going on down there!).

Let us know what you end up doing! You're going to love the look and feel, trust me.

MegaSMOOTH :)

that "thing" i believe is called electrolysis, and yes it's expensive, it uses a laser to fry your hair follicles, it lasts for like 3-7 years (really depends on the person) and yes it's fairly expensive, depending on how much you want done (area wise) i know for a woman to get her face done it's 2k +..... (although i'm not a woman) lol

South Beach Body Waxing Co.

The Place is called South Beach Body Waxing Co. I think they do do men. I do remember seeing it. I wasnt so embarressed, because she was a women. I went looking for a waxing product today at Wal-Mart but they didn't have anything. I'm going to check a few places tomorrow and hopefully i will find something and will let you know how it goes!

The Wal-Mart around my area has the waxing products in the cosmetics section. If this helps you :) I am interested in hearing how it goes. :rose:

Before you try it yourself, at LEAST go to some websites that have some info, because the directions that come with wax don't really tell you everything.

1. Make sure the area is clean and very dry. Trim the hair to about 1/2 - 3/4 ".
2. I know for the pubic area, it's good to use a little powder.
3. Heat the wax (usually comes in a plastic jar) in a pan of water (not microwave) - leave the jar in the pan to keep it hot. Make sure the wax is as hot as you can stand. Not TOO hot, but pretty hot.
4. For balls. Geez. I'm not sure, but for the areas *I* wax, you are supposed to apply the wax thinly in the direction of growth.
5. Quickly press the linen strip on and smooth it down in the direction of growth. Buy extra strips - there's never enough.
6. Hold the skin taut by pulling it in the direction of growth.
7. Quickly pull the linen strip against the direction of growth.

This can be a LITTLE tricky and may require practice. Basically, don't pull the strip UP - pull it back so that the part you have pulled is coming up parallel to the part that is still there.

SOMETIMES, I can take a used wax strip and reuse it quickly to pull another area - just smooth it on quickly and pull.

I actually use lots of linen strips - a whole one for each pull - if a little wax remains, get another strip and get it. I've only found strips by themselves in a beauty supply store.

If the wax doesn't come off, maybe it's not hot enough, maybe it's applied too thick.

Feel free to ask any questions!
Meg
