Them's what's got bigger hands have a much easier time with the 19th century revolvers. Mostly, it seems they can thumb the hammer more easily without having to roll the gun so far to do it. Then there is fanning with the other hand. I know we have some videos back a half a hundred pages or more of a trick shooter fanning off three shots using his fingers just so.
My personal jury is still out.
I'm not nearly as fast as I was when younger. So, while I love me single action revolvers, I'll stick with my 1911s.
