Wat's Guns-N-Stuff Thread

We don’t need to confiscate guns. If a weapon is made illegal, sensible law-abiding owners will surrender it voluntarily rather than run the risk of being found out.

And fortunately, just as took place in the J6 insurrection attempt, many Deplorables have documented their activities and purchases on line.

Or, IOW, confiscate them.
Doogie Perry Mason Howser here is trying to deflect because, as is continually demonstrated here, abiding to any passed laws placing whatever a gun nut may feel is a restriction is not an option for the so called law abiding, responsible gun owner.

If we make firearms inconvenient and expensive to own, America’s gun problem will take care of itself without the government having to confiscate anything.

Any requirement that someone divest themselves of their lawfully acquired property at the command of the government is confiscation.

Oh, boohoo. Cry us a river all you want about Leticia James. The government frequently, legally does exactly what you describe.

If I sell a piece of land because I don’t want to pay property taxes on it, is that “confiscation”?

Firearms are inconvenient to own. They cost real money, the ammo has tripled in the last 15 years, and like cars or any other durable goods purchase, they require maintenance. Care and feeding. Rust never sleeps, and firearms contain a lot of steel components. Just got done semi-restoring an 80 year old rifle, if all y'all did more than cherry pick the posts where you might learn something instead of just picking shit with the chickens. Every day that comes this way, in my morning/first call to Mecca, I thank Allah that he has given me, his Sentient Son, the ability and desire to help his fellow humans and to earn generous recompense in so doing, and for the good sense to engage in common sense durable goods purchases instead of household crap and pissing it away on "entertainment."

Meanwhile, as far as that trigger part goes, what you hear today is about what Democrats propose, the banning and such. It's not like the GOP is any better on supposed Civil Rights. Reagan's firearms bill had some serious restrictions in it, but it was labeled as the Firearms Owners Protection Act. See how that's done? And there was Bush 2's USA Patriot Act. Really? Fuck me running. So, I by a few more hundred rounds every month, just in case. Or as some of the delusional princesses say, for when I "snap." :rolleyes:

It is truly sad that there is a substantial portion of the population who cares vastly more about their opinions than about learning anything new.

I'm convinced that the 2% is an over-estimation.

Did the land become "illegal" to own or possess? If not it's not confiscation. If yes, then it is confiscation. Or, in the case of real property, eminent domain. Which is also confiscation by the government.

See how easy that is? Or do you need to redefine more words to make it fit your preconceived narrative that the government taking private property, or forcing someone to dispossess themselves of their property, doesn't violate anyone's 5th Amendment Rights?

The ONLY way the government can force people to give up their guns is by paying them the legal value for that property. There are an estimated 400 million guns in the US. If each one is worth $500 in value, the US government doesn't have enough money, and can't print enough money, to seize them without it being an unlawful taking.

So, my best advice for those who are spreading the "outlaw guns" message, you don't have a snowball's chance in Hell of making it work.

I was expecting you to bring up eminent domain and you did. Now explain, as we are on this particular thread, how eminent domain is as you described and defined as a confiscation that allows for a 2nd amendment remedy to that government tyranny. And also, the government does not in fact have to pay legal value for property. I’m no lawyer. I’m just like everyone else here who enjoys kicking your ass by saying that I can simply look at Native Americans and black communities to find numerous instances of this not to be true outside of me giving you the exact legal definition. So no. When and if the trump bump stock ruling is adjudicated and upheld - you won’t be getting reimbursed for buying something now illegal.

I learn something new about you every week, because you are a non-stop and obsessive poster. This erotic literature forum is the major focus of your mostly virtual social life.

Like recently, I learned that you posted meme about the only way to "cure" liberals is to shoot them twice in the chest and once in the head, and then you followed that with other memes about evil only being in the minds and hearts of those pulling the trigger. Shooting your political opponents is evil. Ergo, your promotion of that concept is evil, but you will likely write off that violent statement by asking "Can't ya take a joke?"

I know responsible gun owners. I live in a remote area where such people exist, and do so without constantly obsessing about their next weapon purchase and about violent scenarios every single day. You are not a responsible gun owner.

I suspect that some of our thread denizens need to upgrade their purses-n-shoes.

Speaking of batteries, the damned woods dogs have been abit noisy the last few nights, so I'm going to change the batteries in the call and see if we have any luck luring a couple in.

I'm amused remembering the first time I used that thing and had it set on the "injured bunny" call. I got four very disapproving horses' undivided attention. It was the silent, "Hey, human, what are you doing to that bunny?" look.

You brush off your irresponsible behavior by associating femininity with weakness. Most women I know have far more strength of character than you have.

What you have done is post encouragement to shoot liberals on a social media platform that has all sorts of readers and lurkers. That is irresponsible. You're just another example of an irresponsible gun nut.

The really virtuous man lives in freedom;
he follows no commandments,
he follows no scriptures,
he follows nobody else but his own inner light.
He lives according to his heart —
he is a rebel.

Tricks of the trade Wat;

Movement detection is all peripheral. Don't stare, scan. Look above where you think the targets maybe, let your peripheral vision do the work.

In a horizontal environment look for the vertical, in a vertical environment look for the horizontal. There's always an anomaly.

No Steak Bites tonight I presume.
