great day at the range. I tried out a Monstrom Blackbird (3x illuminated recticle)(Sorry, LIARberals, nothing to do with tickling someone's butt)

Nice stuff, bolted onto a Palmetto AR at the range, 2 clicks up and two clicks over and zeroed, stayed right there for 500 rounds

I bought 10 of them after I got home

We hope your misguided hate keeps you warm at night.

It would seem to since you live in the hell of your own mind...

And..........I'm daring to stand in open defiance to your tyranny. OPEN. DEFIANCE.

Like at Lexington. Look that up. Getting to Concorde was easy. Getting back to boston was a bitch.

I've abandoned any notion of putting any optics with magnification on the AR's. Not against the idea at all, I just don't care for the restricted field of view that comes with magnification. And I don't push that little cartridge beyond 300 yd. anyway. I'm running Romeo 5's on mine. The kid is running an EOtec on one of his. I LOVE the EOtec but just can't justify putting a sight on the rifle that costs more than the rifle itself.

I'm ancient. There is an odd law that goes with age. You aren't allowed to see shit very far away. That's why the blind guy has a double barrel shotgun and they hang him for shooting the piano player

I hear ya. I had some work done on my eyes 5 years ago. I'm 20/20 in one eye and 20/21 in the other as far as distance vision is concerned. When it comes to longer ranges I AM a believer in optics. I'm running a 6-24 on one of my rifles. 3-9's or 3-12's on the rest of them.

often the difference between a club and a decent rifle is the sights

The trouble is that I was bored looking for a new toy and like a pit bull I seize upon a toy that I like..............

As a result.................I have 6 phantom3's and 4 phantom 4's (so far)

2 is 1, 1 is none!

Bueno!!! Like Arnold says in Kindergarten Cop, "thanks for the tip." I need something for one of the ARs, so I'll try what you said.

You know that I'm an iron sight guy from way back, so this is a bit of an experiment. My vision is still better than it has a right to be, and for that I think Allah regularly. That said, as technology marches on, I can probably use every advantage available. This thing is $90. It's worth a go for shits-n-giggles, and if I don't like it, I bet my nephew will.

In other news, the lawn mower has a sharp blade, is tuned and has fresh oil to the proper level. That shit is way more fucking complex than hanging a picture. Next up: the pressure washer.

I have an AR for suppressive fire, and I have one for 100 yards direct fire. That said..............I have an FNFAL in case I gotta reach out and touch someone
