Most of those silly fucks think that Wild Animals will kill and eat them if they venture past the 'burbs.

Funny thing is, it'll be Sentient Life what gets 'em . . . .

Speaking of, the silly fucking woods dogs were awfully quiet last night, and far away. They seem to know when Wat is in town.

I'm still trying to get my eyes to play well with both of them open while shooting. Sometimes I have it, and sometimes I can't find the front post to save my ass.

A great day out and about and getting shit done, including shooting. The landlady collected the brass and the tossed it, so we had a chat about that. She dets the reuse/recycle thing, so I think we have achieved an understanding.

You don't know until you know. Funny thing is, as fast as she recycles copper bits and aluminum bits and such, you'd think she'd get it about brass. She knows now.

Anyone taking a novice shooting who lets the novice hurt themselves thinking it's "funny" needs a terrible shift kick in the pants. We made sure to go over proper positioning. Started off on the carbine and then did the AR. The AR was proclaimed "not bad at all."

We know . . . .

For the Hurt Widdle Feelers crowd:

What is most essential to Buddhism is based on clarifying the mind. If you want your mind to be clear, it is important to put opinions to rest. If opinions are not stopped, then wrong and right are confused; if the mind is not clear, reality and illusion are mixed up. If you stop opinions and clear the mind, then reality and illusion are both empty, wrong and right do not stand.

I struggle with that technique and haven't found it to be particularly advantageous. Some folks swear by it and it works for them.

The army payed me lots of money acause I could sort out the optical illusions and fold the boxes.

The 2 eye technique is like sorting the illusions. You gotta learn to ignore the other eye. Like a switch, on/off

Like I said, it works well for some. As I recall the whole theory behind the "scout rifle" as professed by Jeff Cooper was based on the 'two-eye' technique.

The folks I've worked with that have serious struggles are the 'cross-coupled' shooters. Right eye dominant southpaws, or left eye dominant right handers.

I took a my young nephew shooting for the first time, we were shooting .22's. As I was loading my rifle I glanced at the boy and he was using his rifle as a crutch with the barrel stuck in the dirt...

It was a great day for some range time. Got turkey guns patterned and a bit of time left for zeroing new optic on carry pistol. Holosun EPS MRS Carry. Awesome little red dot.

Yes, may have. I think she liked it. PSA carbine length. Iron sights.

The 3x one that Wizzard talked about a couple days ago.
Starting with irons is the way to go but slapping a red dot on it is going to cause a love affair.

Let me know how you like it.

Different rifle. I'll dot this one up and get it right and then let her shoot it. Then, maybe, I'll get the other one back.

Or I'll stick with this 20" and iron sights.

It's all First World problems.
