Well so far nothings been released about the type of weapon, but given the overwhelming choice of the AR-15 platform in past mass shootings. i'd say the odds (if given by Vegas) would be very much in favour of it being an AR. Hows about you put some skin in the game, say a months vacation from Lit if it is an AR?

Start making a few examples, you don't get to pick and choose the laws you wish to obey. If the LEO's don't want to enforce the laws, well fire a few dozen, then see what the rest do.

She won't have to, there are plenty of people inside the gun community who will rat you out in a heartbeat. Not because they agree with the law, or even that they don't like you. Nope, they'll do it because they can and that makes them feel less bitter about themselves.

No ratting out required. The compliance rate is based on citizens that have FOID's (Firearm Owners Identification Cards) so the state essentially already knows who they are and where they are. And those people know that the state knows and have told the state to fuck off anyway.

They don't seem to be trying to game the system at all. It's more like a "come and take them" attitude and in that case we could be looking at a Concord/Lexington moment in history.

Honestly I never saw the attraction of an ankle holster. It's in an awkward place for a primary draw and too slow if the need is emergent, which of course any pulling of a concealed weapon is. As a secondary weapon perhaps, but not as a primary concealed carry weapon.
