A friend of mine has a 10mm 1911. I have fired it and now a 10mm 1911 is on my bucket list. It was not a harsh recoil, was accurate, and fun to shoot.

SA seems to have a decent one. I have the GI model of theirs, and it's perfectly functional.

I used to have a Ruger LCPII. I like it okay. I'd consider its replacement. It worked well in an ankle holster.
