Part of the reason I kind of came to this revelation was because while I was watching a select porn movie or two, I noticed how I lost interest when the movie cut to a close up. I'm not so sure people enjoy seeing themselves as much as they enjoy seeing their partner. It might be a bit of being self & body conscious.
